Now let's check out some of our fellow bloggers' stash...
Lori from Fake Food Free sent in her garden haul. She got all these beautiful goodies from her father's garden in Newburgh, Indiana! Her dad has one serious green thumb - I just wish one of these years my garden produce would be as beautiful as all of this! Be sure to check out Lori's blog for an awesome grilled green bean recipe!
Blackberries, raspberries, gooseberries, green beans, yellow squash, potatoes and kale. |
And Lyn from Life Lyn Style is back with 2 CSAs!

I know I'll be experimenting with unique slaws - I've been in a slaw mood lately! So be sure to check back to see if I come up with anything crazy.
Anyway, I'm off for a run (I'm still at it - yay! I've got a consistent 9:13 mile, so I've shaved off 20 seconds from last week already - score!) Be back tomorrow with something tasty - and a treat poll!
***If you guys received a CSA this week, what did you end up getting? I'd love to have a weekly round-up of your CSA goodies (if you participate in one), or even if you made a weekly visit to your Farmer's market (or even just picked from your own garden!) - I'd love to see the local produce everyone gets! So feel free to e-mail a snapshot of your goods (as well as your name and blog title (and don't worry if you don't have a blog, your name will be just fine!) as well as a link to your blog) at mtlabor85 (at) yahoo (dot) com and I'll post them in next Thursday's CSA post!
Peggy! Congrats. 20sec off of a mile in one week is HUGE. How much distance do you usually run? I've been getting a bit faster, but haven't some trouble upping the mileage.. Something to work towards though!
ReplyDeleteBe sure to share your CSA recipes, I always need new ideas. :-D
This is fun seeing what everyone's CSA baskets contain. Thanks for showing them off. I'll be looking for that slaw!
ReplyDeleteWow! You are BOOKING it! Just the thought of blueberries make me happy.
ReplyDeleteRaspberries, blueberries...mmm..love them!
ReplyDeleteVery nice fresh veggies! I was curious what's Emiko's cabbage and even Googled it. =P I wondered if she invented this veggie... very nice collection!
ReplyDeleteI wish you can sent me some of the beautiful blueberries and strawberries. Blueberries cost a fortune and strawberries are the ones with the sweet taste that we get at Malaysia.
ReplyDeleteYour CSA is on par with what's in my farmers market right now. Great haul!
ReplyDeleteI am SO jealous. All of these fruits and veggies are so vibrant and GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteI really should sign up for a CSA. What a great incentive to eat healthier.
ReplyDeleteHi Peggy. So pleased to have met you! I'm going to make a note to send you a photo of next week's CSA box. I'd love to participate in your roundup. What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great CSA week all around :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to join one next year, but for now I'm just mismatching produce from a few different farmer's markets.
